Claridge & Hall removed an existing car park at Tewin Cowper School to make room for a new classroom building and Infant’s learning area.

Project Facts

New concrete base foundations were laid and services brought to the building.

The new timber framed building uses three vaulted steel trusses with stainless steel tension bars to give a vaulted ceiling effect. The building exterior is finished in coloured fibre cement cladding boards with a wood effect shiplap finish. The roof used a new hot felted roof covering.

Inside, the two new learning areas feature sound absorbing/suppressing ceilings under the vaulted areas and climate controlled air conditioning.

I am writing to thank you for all the hard work that you and the team put in to our bandroom project. I am pleased to say that the building and parking is now all finished and ready for use.

The band is delighted with the result. We have a new purpose-built music facility right in the heart of town. As you know, the facilities include a large rehearsal room, two small teaching rooms, a kitchen, a library room, WCs and plenty of storage. The band has a new home that will last for generations to come.

Thank you again for all your efforts. We can all be very proud of what has been achieved.
